How to Add Your Company Logo to Invoices

Uploading a Logo

Click the logo placeholder area in the top-left corner of the invoice. A file picker opens where you can select an image from your device. The logo appears immediately on the invoice preview, positioned in the header where your client will see it first.

Supported Formats

InvoiceGen accepts PNG, JPG, JPEG, SVG, and WebP image files. PNG is recommended because it supports transparent backgrounds, which look cleaner on the white invoice. SVG files are also excellent because they stay sharp at any size.

Sizing Tips for the Best Result

For optimal display, use a logo image that is at least 300 pixels wide. Rectangular logos (wider than they are tall) tend to fit best in the invoice header. Keep the file size under 2 MB for fast loading — if your logo is a large print file, resize it to web dimensions before uploading.

Removing or Replacing Your Logo

Hover over the logo area and click the remove button to delete the current image. To replace it, simply click the logo area again and select a new file. Your previous logo is not stored permanently unless you save the invoice to your account, so you can experiment freely.

Frequently Asked Questions

What resolution should my logo be for a sharp PDF?
A width of 300 to 600 pixels produces a crisp logo on both screen and print. Anything below 150 pixels may appear blurry when the PDF is printed.
Is there a file size limit for logo uploads?
There is no hard limit, but images under 2 MB upload fastest and render reliably across all browsers. Compress large files with a free tool like TinyPNG before uploading.
Should I use a logo with a transparent background?
Yes, a transparent PNG or SVG looks the most professional because it blends seamlessly with the invoice background. A white-background logo works too but may show visible edges on off-white templates.
